Which places does every Sumba trip visit?

Every trip, open or private, stops at Ratenggaro, Pero Beach, Weekuri Lagoon, Mandorak Beach, Prai Ijing, Warinding Hill, Tanarara Savanna, Walakiri Beach, Tanau Hill and Persaudaraan Hill, plus Waimarang or Tanggedu Waterfall.

What do the 5-day and 6-day trips add?

The 5D4N adds Lapopu Waterfall and Purukambera Savanna, and visits both Waimarang and Tanggedu. The 6D5N also adds Waikelo Rice Fields, Weekacura and Matayangu waterfalls and Mondu Hill.

Are entrance fees included?

Yes. Entrance and donation fees are included in every trip price, together with drone and mirrorless documentation, mineral water, meals, a 3-star hotel and a tour leader.

Can I visit these places on my own dates?

Yes, on a private trip, on any date while accommodation is available. The open trip leaves on fixed Thursdays and follows the 4D3N route.

When is the best time to visit Sumba?

December to March is the green season, April to May the green turns yellow, and June to November is the yellow season. Trips run all year.

Can the route change?

Yes. The itinerary can change with conditions at the destination or in case of force majeure, and if the weather turns, the tour leader changes part of the route for safety.
